The MSAP building, completed in 2022, comprises a basement, ground floor, and five upper levels (~145,000 ft²), designed to foster creativity and collaboration. Facilities include studio rooms, lecture halls, staff spaces, a cafeteria, covered plaza, and stepped courts.

TRC Worldwide Engineering (India) served as the structural consultant, delivering a reinforced concrete structure using RC columns, beams, slabs, and ductile shear walls, along with special moment-resisting frames to accommodate dynamic loads. Slab levels were varied to integrate the building with the site's sloping 18 m contour. The project used approximately 800 tonnes of structural steel to support long spans and fluid spatial layouts.

Architectural & Climatic Response:
• The building is arranged in stepped blocks along the hillside, around a central plaza with interconnecting staircases and terraces, maximizing valley views and facilitating indoor-outdoor flow.
• Structural systems were calibrated to support flowing brick ‘wave’ forms, double-height punctures, and ferrocement canopies, with TRC coordinating load paths for these architectonic features.
• Locally sourced materials—terracotta bricks, granite, exposed RC—provide thermal mass, reduce embodied energy, and tie the design to its context.
