The Geisinger Wyoming Valley MOB Parking Deck was developed as a high-performance, 4.5-level parking structure supporting the adjacent 165,000-square-foot Medical Office Building. Opened in March 2024, the approximately 191,000-square-foot, 479-space facility is part of Geisinger’s broader campus modernization program.

TRC provided precast engineering services for the structure’s total precast concrete system, which was selected to balance heavy-duty medical campus demands with accelerated construction. The garage is composed of coordinated precast components — including double tees, inverted tee beams, columns, shear walls, and spandrels — engineered to perform as an emulated monolithic system capable of supporting significant structural loads.

The precast approach enabled rapid field assembly while minimizing disruption to ongoing hospital operations. Integrated enclosed skybridge connections provide protected, climate-controlled circulation between the garage and medical facilities, enhancing patient and staff experience in all weather conditions.

By leveraging factory-fabricated precast elements, the project achieved high quality control, reduced site impacts, and long-term durability suited for healthcare campus use.
