TRC Worldwide Engineering - India
Developed as Infosys’s net-zero energy-enabled development center, this Nagpur campus combines architectural character with energy efficiency. Housing office spaces, a food court, and other facilities, the building features long reinforced concrete elevation walls on all four sides, decorated with illustrations of the Nagpur Fort and elements of Infosys’s work culture. TRC served as the structural consultant for the project, contributing design expertise to address key technical challenges - most notably, a 3.3-meter cantilevered concourse slab constructed without a back span.
Completed in 2023, the building comprises six levels (G+5 + terrace) and is built using cast-in-place post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems. The typical floor system utilizes post-tensioned one-way slabs supported by reinforced concrete beams and columns. Lateral stability against seismic and wind forces is provided by RC shear walls. Environmentally conscious structural design was a priority, with high-strength Fe500-grade reinforcement and optimally sized members to reduce material consumption and environmental impact.
Key Structural Components:
• G+5 + Terrace floor structure, resting on isolated and combined footings
• Structural system composed of post-tensioned (PT) beams and slabs
