TRC Worldwide Engineering provided precast concrete engineering services for the parking structure at The Nine at UCF, a multi-level garage designed to support a high-density student housing development in Orlando. The structure utilizes a highly efficient precast system composed of prestressed double tees, inverted tee beams, and precast columns, enabling long-span framing and maximizing parking capacity within a compact footprint.

Working in coordination with the design and construction team, TRC engineered a system that balances structural performance with constructability. The garage incorporates integrated shear walls and core elements to resist wind loads specific to Florida’s coastal environment, while carefully detailing connections and load paths to ensure efficient erection and long-term durability. Special attention was given to coordinating the precast system with cast-in-place retaining walls, maintaining clear separation of structural responsibilities to prevent unintended loading conditions.
