TRC Worldwide Engineering
TRC provided specialized precast engineering services for the Element Hotel at Chanson Park, a four-story hospitality development that plays a key role in Bainbridge’s ongoing downtown revitalization efforts. As the final component of a broader initiative led by the Downtown Development Authority, the project represents a major milestone in transforming the city’s urban core into a vibrant destination for both visitors and the local community.
The structure utilizes a podium-style design, with a robust lower level supporting a multi-story hotel above. TRC’s precast engineering expertise contributed to the efficiency, constructability, and long-term performance of the structural system—ensuring that critical components were coordinated to meet both architectural intent and project schedule demands.
Beyond the building itself, the site was thoughtfully designed to create an engaging and flexible outdoor experience. The outdoor program features a resort-style pool deck tailored for relaxation and social interaction, as well as a 6,800-square-foot event lawn capable of hosting weddings, festivals, and community gatherings. Surrounding terraces and open spaces were intentionally planned to remain active and inviting throughout the year, extending the hotel’s impact beyond its footprint.
Inside, the hotel offers modern accommodations complemented by on-site dining, including a restaurant and bar, along with a complimentary hot breakfast for guests. Together, these elements position the Element Hotel as both a hospitality destination and a catalyst for continued growth in downtown Bainbridge.
