TRC provided structural engineering services for the Learning Zone at Lenox Village, a modern STEAM-focused early education facility located along the Nolensville Pike corridor in Nashville. Designed to support high-capacity childcare operations while providing flexible, collaborative learning environments, the single-story facility utilizes a wood-framed structural system that enables large, open interior spaces and high classroom ceilings.

The building is supported by a slab-on-grade concrete foundation engineered for local soil conditions. Long-span roof trusses allow for column-free communal areas and dedicated STEAM learning spaces, creating adaptable environments for both classrooms and activity zones.

Exterior load-bearing walls are finished with brick and stone veneer, selected to complement the Lenox Village Urban Design Overlay while providing durability, thermal efficiency, and acoustic performance in a high-traffic corridor. To meet regional wind and seismic requirements, the structural design incorporates integrated shear walls and reinforced metal connector systems within the framing to ensure lateral stability.

Site development included engineered retaining walls to accommodate elevation changes across the property and maintain stable grading for playground and parking areas. Stormwater management systems, including bio-retention areas and underground drainage infrastructure, were incorporated to control runoff and protect the building foundation.
