The 77,000-square-foot Crown Honda at Southpoint dealership was developed as a flagship automotive facility and was recognized at the time of construction as the largest Honda dealership on the East Coast. Situated on a 13-acre site, the project includes a 945-space parking lot and a detached 1,200-square-foot car wash utilizing reclaimed water.
TRC provided precast engineering services supporting the dealership’s structural systems and façade coordination. The facility combines a high-performance showroom, service operations, and administrative functions within a cohesive Gen 3 Honda design.
The first floor houses 33 standard service bays and 6 quick-service bays, constructed using concrete and structural steel framing to accommodate heavy-duty operational demands. Above, the second level contains administrative offices and a dedicated employee wellness space separated from the service environment. The showroom utilizes a structural steel frame integrated with a curtain wall system to create an open, highly transparent sales environment.
A defining architectural feature is the signature circular Honda entry element, where major steel members were set using a 360-ton crane to achieve the complex geometry.
